Dragon*Con Wrap-Up (Best Feature nomination for ‘Daisies)
Four days of shuffling in and out of downtown luxury hotels next to the likes of Superman, Batman, steam punks, countless Kick-Asses, and yes, even the kid from “Up”, which gets my personal MVP for standout costume. It’s all over now and not only did we survive, we actually thrived. It was standing room only for our 1AM screening of “Pushin’ Up Daisies” and we had some of our best reactions thus far. We were even one of three nominations for Best Feature Film at the festival. There was an awards ceremony featuring clips from all the nominees in all categories: Our clip was of Phil (John Roach) talking about “zombies, dead people walking around trying to eat the living people”. We had a really great time, saw some really great films, and gained even more ground in our Kickstarter campaign.
The Athens-Banner Herald of Athens, GA gives “Pushin’ Up Daisies” a fantastic review:

Atlanta Film Festival Wrap-Up
The Atlanta Film Festival was a success. Two great screenings, two great audiences, two great nights. It felt good to premiere in our home state. We had fantastic introductions from Bob Carter of Dave FM and Matthew Foster of Dragon*Con who also led the Q&A’s afterwards. Below are a couple of pictures from the event, one from the Q&A after Friday night’s premier screening and one from Saturday night with Bob Wagstaff and Patrick Franklin being interviewed on the red(?) carpet.
